Our musicians include:

Clam Chowder (the group not the soup) is a small musical group in Maryland, USA, which plays an eclectic collection of British and American folk songs, sea shanties, unusual songs from all sources, original material, and anything else that has opportunities for close harmony. Their exploits at Darkovercon have been featured in an article in the Washington Post.

Ellen James: Lurking behind a large lever harp, Ellen performs mainly Celtic and American folk and folkoid music, including instrumental originals and the occasional egregious filk. She sometimes lures other musicians onstage to join her.

The Homespun Ceilidh Band has been performing their specialty since 1993 — lively, traditional Celtic "jump up and dance" sets as well as gentle, lyrical airs (and the occasional Irish polka). HCB is known for infectious fun in performance, true-to-tradition styling, and texturally rich instrumentation, which at full force includes fiddles, guitar, bouzouki, cittern, wooden flute, recorder, viola da gamba, a lighthearted song or two, hammered dulcimer, bodhrans, and Irish step-dancing.

Maugorn The Stray, aka Steve Haug plays selections from a repertoire that spans the centuries thru many lifetimes & genres, accompanying himself on a kaleidoscopic arsenal of instruments. Songs of love & lust, wondrous tales from the past, present & future, some that end badly, and some where no one had to die at all. But wait, there's more....

Mouse accompanied by Maugorn will be performing her mix of folk songs and history. This year at Darkovercon we will be presenting Law and Order: The Folk Music — tales of justice or the lack thereof as revealed through songs with plenty of chances to sing along with the guilty, the innocent and the very confused. Come enjoy our musical romp through musical jurisprudence.

At the Clam Chowder concert on Saturday night there will be the annual B.O.G.S. (a thoroughly naughty song) fundraiser for charity.
